Joseph R. Butler joined Brown Capital Management in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Joe worked as a trader at Credit Suisse Asset Management and in international trading operations at Refco Securities, Citibank, and Bankers Trust. Joe earned a BA in economics from Jersey City State College. He is a former trustee of the Franciscan Center, where he served on the finance committee, and is a former mentor for the Catholic Charities Christopher’s Place Employment Academy Program. Joe currently serves on the finance committee and board of overseers for the Baltimore School for the Arts.
