Brown Capital Management Expands International Team with Portfolio Manager Daniel J. Boston

Brown Capital Management is pleased to welcome Daniel J. Boston as Director and Portfolio Manager/Senior Analyst. Dan joins portfolio managers Duncan J. Evered, Kabir Goyal, CFA, and Maurice L. Haywood, CFA, to oversee the firm’s International Equity and International Small Company strategies.

“Dan is an accomplished investor who comes in the door with an investment philosophy very similar to ours, of finding exceptional growth companies with durable revenue streams and holding them for the long term,” says Eddie C. Brown, Founder, Chairman, and CEO. “He thrives working in small, collaborative portfolio management teams, so we are convinced he will be a seamless addition to our International team.

Keith Lee, the firm’s President and Chief Operating Officer, adds, “Investors are increasingly looking overseas for returns, and with both our International Small Company and International Equity strategies drawing investor interest, we are excited to add Dan to the team now.

Dan recently spent five years at Baird in Boulder, Col., where he was a partner and portfolio manager overseeing the international small-cap and international large-cap strategies. Prior to that, Dan was a senior portfolio manager and head of international public equity at Ensign Peak Advisors, and before that, a senior analyst at Wasatch Advisors. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Yale University School of Management, where he served as a research assistant to Nobel laureate Robert J. Shiller.
